1. Data Controller

2. Hosting

This website is hosted via GitHub Pages, a service of GitHub Inc., 88 Colin P. Kelly Jr. Street, San Francisco, CA 94107, USA. When you access a page, GitHub automatically processes technical data such as IP address, date and time of access, the page requested, and browser/device information (server log files). This processing serves the technical delivery of the site and is outside our control. Details: GitHub Privacy Statement.

The database for likes, comments, and cookie consent (see below) runs on Supabase (Supabase Inc.), server location Frankfurt am Main (EU). Details: Supabase Privacy Policy. This processing applies exclusively to the EDM area (edm.html) — where likes and comments are offered. The homepage and the Jazz Fusion page load no content from Supabase and set no corresponding cookie.

3. Fonts (Google Fonts)

This site loads the "Space Grotesk" and "Inter" fonts at runtime from Google's servers (Google Fonts, Google Ireland Limited). Doing so transmits your browser's IP address to Google so the font files can be delivered. If you'd like to avoid this, the fonts can be self-hosted instead — this would need to be adjusted in the individual HTML files.

4. Cookie for Likes & Comments (EDM page only)

If you accept the banner shown on edm.html, we set a single cookie (huk53_visitor_id) containing a randomly generated, anonymous identifier. This cookie is used solely to attribute your likes and comments to a visitor profile (not linked to you personally) and to prevent abuse (spam). It is not used for tracking, advertising, or analytics.

Legal basis: your consent (§ 25 (1) of the German Telecommunications and Telemedia Data Protection Act (TTDSG), Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). Giving consent is voluntary: if you decline or make no choice, no cookie is set and the website continues to work completely normally regardless — only liking and commenting are then unavailable, since that feature technically requires the anonymous identifier. We store your decision (accepted or declined, timestamp, page visited) only as required under Art. 5(2) and 7(1) GDPR to demonstrate consent — without your IP address. The cookie is valid for one year; you can delete it at any time via your browser settings, which will show the banner again on your next visit.

5. Likes & Comments (Database)

Likes and comments on the EDM tracks are stored in a database and are visible to all visitors, not just to you. Specifically, for each comment we store: the name you entered, the comment text, a timestamp, and the anonymous visitor identifier from the cookie above — no real-name requirement, you can also enter a pseudonym. For likes, only the anonymous identifier is stored together with the track.

Legal basis: your consent, since the feature as a whole (cookie + storage) is only usable after you agree (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). To protect against abuse, a simple server-side rate limit is applied (e.g. a maximum of 5 comments per visitor identifier per 10 minutes); no additional personal data is collected for this. You can have comments deleted at any time via the contact address above.
